Lake Havasu City Municipal Airport opened at its current location on June 1, 1991. It is one of the newer municipal airports in the Southwestern United States.
It is located approximately three miles to the northeast of Lake Havasu, adjacent to Arizona State Route 95 and approximately six miles to the north of the center of developed area of Lake Havasu City.
The airport is a modern facility that serves the community and the region and hosts more than 200 based aircraft. It has several full service fixed based operators. Lake Havasu City Airport covers an area of 646 acres.
It has instrument approach capabilities, an automated weather observation station, and an 8,000 foot long runway. It serves the community and the region and is a key part of the economic development of the city. |
